Workbound began in 1990 through a unique team approach for student career exploration and goal setting for success. While the look of our model may have changed a bit, the partnership between students and business mentors is strengthening.
Today, Workbound offers educational opportunities through sharing knowledge on important soft skills and practical professional protocols. Our schools have many opportunities to provide students with broader learning and career exploration through programs such as Junior Achievement and Inspire Sheboygan County. Workbound communicates closely with those organizations which affords us with the ability to be sure we are not duplicating services and offer a different in-classroom approach. It's an approach that is adaptable.
HOW WORKBOUND BENEFITS EDUCATORS AND STUDENTS
Workbound's evolving curriculum introduces students to necessary skills and tools demanded by the workplace – soft skills. Our professional volunteers are part of the team helping prepare our area's students for success in the next chapter in their lives.
